The effectiveness of this app is largely dependent on your locale. If you're in the middle of an urban megalopolis, where numerous eateries are within a couple of city blocks from you, then this app returns a decent selection of choices. I happen to be in suburbia, where options dwindle down to paltry side dishes that aren't worth the fuel needed to drive to their locations.
Also, as noted by other reviewers, the database is populated with restaurants and eateries that aren't particularly brimming with healthy choices. At my location, it looked like the app was basically choosing the least unhealthy item on the menu (oftentimes a sweet dessert)! Also, you can't tailor the results to suit your dietary needs (low carb, low glycemic, etc).
I like the idea behind this app, but its usefulness is constrained by how many fast-food restaurants are nearby. In my case, it just didn't return results suitable for my dietary restrictions. It also needs to clarify how it makes it's choices (i.e. It shouldn't consider an all-sugar snack as healthy just because it has 0g of trans fat).
easy to use!
One click and I’ve got a list of restaurants nearby, the menu items, and the nutrition info!
The best it could find near me was a jelly donut from 7-eleven. Waste.
